Filter Dashboard Widget by Job ID
It would be extremely helpful if a dashboard widget could be filtered by the job ID field. It seems like so many fields can be selected or customized yet the job ID that is already part of the column cannot be selected as an option. This would help filter projects directly by the job ID that gets appended at the creation of all new projects.
If something like this exists or if anyone has suggestions to achieve what I am looking for, please let me know. Thanks!
Hi Michael,
I completely agree! Our company is expanding rapidly and we now have project managers working in teams of 4 to 6 people on big projects. However, each of them might be working on a smaller project on the side. We would like to be able to create Widgets filtered by Folder/Project ID so that the teams can share these widgets.
Example: Team A of 4 to 6 people are all making requests for the same project (e.g. procurement requests). They are lacking visibility right now to see if one of their teammates have already filled out a request to the procurement dept for a specific item the project needs.
We have tried to create a Widget that filters by "Author" but as I first mentioned, the authors/team members might be working on a separate project independently that's not at all related to Team A and that information clutters the widget - basically making it useless.
I just found this thread. Scroll down to Daniel's instructions for how to create a Dashboard Widget from the search feature. It might help you Michael. I'm playing around with it right now:
