[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Request Form - Put fields in mutliple places

Currently we use answers on a request form to go into the task name.  We would also like the same information go into a custom field.  This would be very helpful on running reports.

100% this. We have all of our fields mapping to custom fields, but it would also be nice to have it posting to the description. As a workaround for one of our fields (that is a custom field as well as in the title), we have to have two questions on the form that are identical, one of which posts to the title and the other posts to the custom field. Super waste of time in my opinion.

Add to this: If enabling the name/email fields - it would be great to be able to map those to a custom field as well instead of having them enter this information twice or have that entry within the task be manual entry once we receive the request.

Hey guys, thank you for posting and commenting here!

I've added the Backburner status here, which means that our Product Team are interested in the idea and it will be reviewed during future internal discussions 👍

For now, please add your use-cases here - the more feedback there is, the easier it would be for the team to understand the need for this.

Thanks for your comments and votes!

Hey, our Product team are still interested in this but it currently isn't on the short-term roadmap.

Thank you for all of your feedback!

I too would like this functionality. Use case:

Customer (internal) fills out the request form and they receive the email that shows what they submitted. If the field (in the form) is mapped to a custom field (in the project) it is omitted from the email sent to the person who submitted it.

The person who submitted the form has to document not only that the form was submitted but what exactly was submitted, but because of the limitation our choice are:

a) don't map to a custom field - lots more work for the project owner to fill in each time.

b) use the custom field mapping - lots more work for the submitter to document what they did.

c) as someone above said, add the questions 2x so the information can be put in the description and the custom field - again more work for the submitter.

Please make this a possibility!

Thanks!

Aedan
