Hi There -

Below are the Question and Answers from our session. Please feel free to ask more questions in this thread.

How do you create dynamic conditions for a Request form?

We have step-by-step instructions on how to create conditions in a Request form. Find the instructions on our help page and let us know if you have any questions. ย

Can you auto-assign Request forms to certain to people?

Yes! You can have designated people assigned to a form. For example, a specific form can be set to always be assigned to "John". Hereโ€™s how to do it.

Can you place a task in a "Hold" status and does that status prevent the task from appearing in My Work and Dashboards?

The default workflow has "Deferred" and "Cancelled" options which can serve as โ€œon holdโ€. Then, when you create a Dashboard, you can use filters to exclude tasks in those statuses. My Work only shows tasks which are in an Active or Completed status, so you wonโ€™t see deferred/ canceled tasks.

The โ€œCustom Fields" option is greyed out when Iโ€™m creating a Request form. It is only showing "Title" and "Description". Do you know why?

Before you can see Custom Fields you need to add the Folder/Project where items created by the Request should go. From the right-hand box, under "2. Place Project/task into", choose a Folder/Project where items should be created. After that, youโ€™ll see that specific Folder/Projects Custom Fields as an option.

How do you add the task number in the task name?

When you're creating a form, if nothing is mapped to the task title, then the task ID is automatically added to the task title.

When an internal or external link is created to the form, can the same link be used if the form is edited?

Yes, the link may change, but weโ€™ve tested and the previous urls will still work (if youโ€™re just editing).

What type of Wrike license do users need to fill out a Request form?

If you want people to fill out Request forms from within the Workspace, then they need to have a Wrike username/password but they can be Collaborators (which is a free license type). You can also create external Request Forms which allow you to send form links to people without a Wrike account.

Is it possible to apply a tag based on the data entered into the Request form?

Yes, it is! For example, if you have a dropdown question, you can hover over one of the answers and select "add parent folder". When that answer is selected, that tag will be applied. There are more details on how to do this here.
