PDF comments - Choose Acrobat plugin rather than Wrike for PDF only?

Just a quick comment.

Our team all have Adobe CC and make edit comments directly into PDFs. This is broadly done University-wide and will carry on as this is a great workflow for us.

I wondered if there would be any way to choose to the Acrobat plugin inside Wrike for PDFs only rather than use the built-in Comments tool?

We use the Wrike Comments tool for videos and images but PDFs - 99.9% of them being multi-page - are currently having to be downloaded to read.

This is of course fine as is, but it would be great to specify which tool is preferred for format type on an instance of Wrike.

Is there any feedback to this question as my organisation work in a very similar way and would like to utilise adobe acrobat shared commenting on our proofs via wrike?

We work with a lot of graphics and use the Adobe workflow. It has been very challenging for us to not have Wrike play nice with pdfs. Many times we've had someone overwrite someone else because Wrike won't lock pdfs.  I know you have a proofing tool but we use the Adobe workflow.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late reply here.

It should be possible to set Acrobat as a default editor for PDF files. Also, it's possible to use Wrike's Document editor for PDFs and multipage PDF view is supported.

But within that editor is there a way to use the text function keys (delete, insert and/or replace text) instead of sticky note comments, so we can track changes in InDesign?

See example here: https://creativepro.com/using-indesigns-pdf-comments-panel/
