Tasks. Date superiority over dependencies. Timeline issue.

If there is a set of tasks related to each other, like in screenshot 1. When the second task is canceled or deleted, task 3 remains in place, doesn't move in time (screenshot 2) according to dependencies. Connections are more important than dates in our approach. We prefer task 3 to start after task 1 in accordance to dependencies after task 2 cancelation / deleting (as in the last screenshot).

Also got an issue with the task that has dependencies in different projects. Changes in a task duration don't appear in a task log of a dependent task. See the gif.

@Olena The screenshots were immensely helpful, thank you! We were able to replicate the same behavior (took some close looking there though!) so I'm creating a Support ticket for you and someone from the team is going to reach out soon to help figure out what's going on.

@Andriy Thank you for the gif 👍. It looks like you're using the version of the Timeline from Labs. I completely understand if you're using that version because you need functionality like Snapshots or printing, but we did fix the scenario you're describing on the new version of the Timeline. And we're working on bring Snapshots and printing back to the new Timeline as well.

Edited: when I first posted, we couldn't replicate your exact scenario Olena, but someone on the team figured out how to do it.

Hi @Stephanie. This comment was concerning to my open ticket #474321 that was created before new the timeline feature had been announced.

Thank you for clarifying the things up.

Hi Andriy, the team is currently looking at changes this and it shouldn't be much longer now until it's fixed. There are some other changes being worked on at the moment in this view so all updates need to be done around the same time.

I'll keep you updated when I have more concrete information around a timeframe.
