๐ Releases - Mass Enable Project Progress, Public Links Access Request Added, Updates to Automated Integrations, and more! (2/26/2024)
Feature Updates
- Project Progress - Mass Enable For All Projects in Table View ๐
We're thrilled to announce that it is now possible to mass-enable project progress in Table view! To achieve this, you only need to click on the three-dot menu that appears when you hover over the "Progress" column in Table view and select the option "Turn on for all projects":
ย
ย
Similarly, you can also mass-disable progress for all projects. We know many among you were looking for this option, and we'd like to thank you all for your continued support of this option! Your feedback has been essential for our Product Team๐
- Public Links in Table View - New Option To Join Account ๐
We've introduced a new feature for public links. Now, users viewing publicly shared table views can request to join the Wrike account that created the link. This feature automatically notifies the account admins to approve the request. This is currently available for all accounts with public links and can be accessed in the table view.

- Automation Integrations - Use Variables And New Gmail Action ๐ค
Our team continues to add more functionality for automation integrations, and we have recently implemented the option to use variables in text fields, which include:
[item name],ย
[status],ย
[assignee],ย
[start date],ย
[due date],[author],
[last modified date].ย
ย
These variables are functional in Slack, MS Teams, Gmail, and Outlook email automated integrations and allow you to reference itemsโ attributes in the messages created. For example, you can automatically send an Outlook email and reference the start date, assignee or the itemโs name by specifying this info in brackets [].
ย
Additionally and in combination with this release, weโve also added the automation action โSend Google Emailโ, which allows you to use your Gmail account to send automated emails. By taking advantage of the variables feature, the notifications can be more personalized and link to relevant data.

- Gantt Chart view - Snapshots Sharing Option Enhanced ๐
Weโve improved the option to share Gantt snapshots with colleagues within and outside your Wrike account. Weโve renamed the button that allows you to create the snapshots to โPublic snapshotโ.
ย
ย ย
Also, weโve simplified the process of copying a snapshot after its creation. Once generated, you can copy the snapshot link by clicking on the option โCopy public linkโ which appears when hovering over the snapshotโs name.

As always, your feedback is valued. Feel free to share your thoughts and questions below.
Good step forward for automation to integrate more mail features. But when will Wrike be able to send mails? It is not practicable to use my Mailaccount for the Wrike account. The user triggering the rule should be the sender or Wrike itself.
Great you are going forward with send email automation.
When I noticed it I was more than happy. But after I noticed that I cannot parametrise recipient email address my happiness changed to disappointment :(
It's so strange that I cannot put email address from custom field in send email automation.
please add this possibility!
ย
Loved the Gmail email sending possibility. Will test it soon :-)
I agree with Sven
The new variables and MS features are great, thanks for adding them!ย Unfortunately the most important piece of info is missing from the variables, the assignees email.ย Without that, these new email actions are only good for sending out general announcements, or I have to write an automation for every member of the team if I want to send an individual an email.ย Also I would love to see the addition of sending an MS Teams chat message, which would also need an email address.
Thank you very much everyone for sharing your feedback with us! I've passed your comments on to our Product Team ๐
Hello @...,
I am having trouble getting the variables to work in Teams.
It seems like I might be missing something. Please let me know if I am making a mistake.
Thank you!
