Default task list in [My to-do]

Can the task list in a user's [My to-do] be configured to display (as default) [All tasks] instead of [Only active tasks]?  I'm getting regular calls from my internal customers that can't find completed tasks there only to tell them to switch to [All tasks].  I know that the selection will "stick" from that point on but many of our new Wrike users encounter this issue.

Hi Tod Bassler, thank you for posting your suggestion! 🙌

My to-do's main benefit is having quick access to the tasks that a user needs to complete. Could you please let me know if your users' main priority is to access completed tasks? Because in that case, it's possible to create, for example, a dashboard widget with all completed tasks. It would be great if you could share more detail on your use-case 🤗

Lisa,

My purpose at Emmanuel Church is to be the main support person for Wrike.

While I agree that the main purpose of [My to-do] is to show a person the Tasks still "on their plate", I've had multiple people ask me what they need to to to see all Tasks they have been assigned (independent of status).  To solve the IT Tickets that come in, our support team members tell them to change the filter to [All tasks] (which is no longer [My to-do] but more accurately [My tasks]).  Since [My to-do] can easily masquerade as [My tasks] by changing the filter, maybe a change of the label from [My to-do] to [My tasks] would be more easily understood (& avoid future requests to IT Support Teams).

What do you think?

Thanks, Tod.

Got you, thank you, Tod Bassler

Are you using the New Wrike Experience? It's possible to create a custom view - it can have a title of your choice and the applied filters will persist. For example, it can be a "My tasks" list where all tasks (active, completed) assigned to a particular user are shown. It should work on the space level - when all tasks that are assigned to a user live within one space.

Could you please let me know if that helps?

Lisa,

Yes, we're using the New Experience.  Thank you for your suggestion but this is too complicated for our users.

My request here is to change the label [My to-do] to [My Tasks] since when the filter in [My to-do] s changed to [All Tasks] (& it stays that way until it's changed again), the data is no longer a list of the Tasks the user still needs to do.  Am I describing this correctly?

Thanks, Tod.
