Release-Recurrent Tasks, Custom Fields, & Oh So Much More (12/29/2017)
This is our last release update for a couple weeks, but it's packed with lots of exciting changes. We'll be back with new release info around the middle of January!
Feature Updates
-
Beta Over, Updated Recurrent Tasks are Live
- You now choose how many recurrent tasks you want created at a time (instead of having them all created at once).
-
Custom Fields on iOS...and more
- That's right, you can now view and add data to existing Custom Fields from the iOS app. The Task View was also completely redesigned, importance is now visible, and there's more you can do in offline mode. But we know you're mostly excited about the Custom Fields.
-
Project Info on the Table View
- You can see more Project information on the Table View, see Project attributes like: owner, status, and dates. If you look at dates, there are more details around how it works.
-
And there's more
- I told you there was a lot Feel free to sing these to the tune of your favorite theme song: 1) You'll get an Inbox notification when a Dashboard is shared with you, 2) Add a "Starred Tasks" widget to a Dashboard, 3) The "Highlight Overdue" option is back on the Timeline, 4) Mass reschedule tasks by shifting a dependency chain on the Timeline View, 5) Android app reminders are synced with Workspace Inbox reminders.
Fixes
-
Slack Notifications about Request Form Tasks
- When a task is created via Request form submission and the Folder/Project it's created in has Slack notifications enabled, then you should get a notification in Slack. This wasn't happening, now it is.
Hi I like the project info on table view, would be useful to have filter to show / hide non active projects.
Thanks
Paul
@Paul Hi Paul 🙂. Interesting, you would manually designate which Projects are active/not active?
Hi Stephanie,
Filter based on on Project Status, by inactive I mean where project status is Completed, On Hold,or Cancelled and active are Green, Yellow, Red .
Although that leads me on to another subject on the project needing custom status's similar to tasks.
Thanks.
Paul
@Paul got it, thanks. And yes, that's a very related subject!
Stephanie, it's great that Wrike now has offline capabilities for iOS... Now how about the Windows desktop app and Android? Am I missing something? It seems all of your users should have the same functionality.

You're totally right Bryant and the team are working towards having this functionality across all Operating Systems. However, the delivery process to these 3rd party platforms operates differently so a roll-out across all them at the same time isn't always possible.
Once we have more info about Android and Windows, we'll be sure to announce it here in an upcoming Release Notes section 👍
