What happened to sharing the static timeline links?
Before the upgrade, you could from the timeline view, share a hyperlink that the recipient could use to open a static view of the timeline.
Really good for being able to keep customers up to date on progress.
I cant see where that has moved to now since the update or if it has been deleted?
Hi Anthony, welcome to the forums! We did have Timeline Snapshots on the old timeline and those are unavailable (for right now) on the new timeline, but it is in the team's plans to bring back that functionality.
Is there a date we can expect this functionality to be available again?
Hi Kyla, we have no concrete dates we share right now. As soon as we do we'll update this thread 👍
I would also like to see the return of this feature
Yes, this feature needs to return as it's a main function we've used for clients, and something that sets Wrike apart from other platforms.
I just had a customer ask for a new timeline and was disappointed to see this feature removed. Please bring it back soon.
Any further update on when this will be available? As Courtney said, it's one of the main reasons we chose Wrike and important for us to use with clients. It's been months now since the update that broke this feature - when will you have a date for its return?
Hi everyone, it's not Timeline Snapshots, but we just released the option to print the Timeline View last week. I want to mention it here because the print function has been enhanced to cover more potential use cases. The pdf that's generated is high-quality (so it's easy to read) and shows any tasks that were visible on the Timeline at the time of printing (any tasks that matched the applied filters).
I'd love to know if that works for some of you and we'll make sure to keep this thread updated with any new information about Snapshots!
Stephanie--When trying out this new print functionality, not everything is captured. If you have a project on a longer timeline, the 8.5x11 inch portrait PDF that is produced cuts off task names and is not sufficient for our needs.
Hi Kyla, thanks for your feedback. Generally speaking, printing from 13-17 inch screen, everything should be rendered ok in the PDF print. If you're printing from an extended screen however you may experience this issue.
We passed the feedback to the Product Team so thank you for sharing, and I'll update you here if there are any changes to the functionality 👍
Seriously Wrike, stop limiting the features, you're making it SO HARD to keep using Wrike...You said you were bringing this feature back a year and a half ago, where is it??
