And I thought I'd see all the requests that were blatantly ignored by Wrike, yet I managed to find another!
Not much to add other than how this further discourages me about the future of Wrike. ย I can do this in so many other tools - Monday, ClickUp, etc. etc. And after wasting about 10 min reading the entire thread - as I actually this time thought the mods, or should I say "peeps", would have provided some guidance, I was sorely mistaken. ย Can't even tell here if Wrike even acknowledges this is a basic need when I ready Hugh et al's comments.
It just gets better and better in here...
Definitely a MUST HAVE! Efficiency is everything!

This feature is needed...ย
Each time I come to these forums, I see users begging for functionality - and the response always 60, 60, 60 upvotes .. but it's not clear how to give those upvotes, and I've never yet come across a feature that hit that threshold. I'd like to upvote on reducing the 60 vote threshold!
Malcolm McDonaldย here, here!!ย Commenting in this forum honestly feels like screaming into a void lol.ย And the "New Wrike Experience" seems to have been created solely by Engineers with no UX specialists around.
Like, in order to access my project list with 8 nested submenus now I need to click-to-expand every single submenu, every single time.ย 50 clicks to just achieve the top-down view of project subcategories that were before auto-expanded based on the previous use.ย Brilliant.
Malcolm McDonaldย and Kelly Hagenย great commentary! ย I am actually off Wrike now due largely to these frustrations. ย This post now has 87 votes, but chances of it getting developed? ย Probably zero! ย And yes there are a great many aspects of Wrike that feel like they are done by Engineers. ย Such a great concept in the basic structure of Wrike, but the daily annoyances ran my team out to another solution. ย And it's all stuff that could easily be fixed, such as Sort Comments from newest to oldest, Convert Task to Project, Better boards, etc. (sorry don't have time to link to those requests.)
And fully agree it seems all Wrike cares about now is the "New" Experience, which I actually got to demo pre-release, and asked if I could have the old one back. ย My reasons: ย I actually used the left nav with multiple spaces open, and that was a big thing that got removed with the New Experience.
Al Sapeย agreed the left nav is so clutch!ย Not sure why they would remove such a useful major feature (not even a "feature", an entire VIEW) that's obviously already been coded and works.ย The irony is all the "New Experience" promo emails with the language "fully customizable!!!"ย Okay then just let me customize my space with the left nav...
Congratulations to you finding something that is suiting you!ย The only thing keeping us from switching right now, since they seem to be insistent on not taking UX feedback seriously, is just being too busy to research the right replacement.

Cansuย - I don't think any of us are surprised that this won't be implemented.ย But I think we can all agree that generating a "task template" from an existing set of tasks is a pretty basic project/task management functionality, and it remains almost comically absurd that it isn't a feature.ย It's only slightly less silly than trying to convince someone that a task due date is a necessary feature.ย
I would almost feel better if Wrike just came out and admitted it's a ridiculous omission but that they were still refusing to implement it.ย At least then we wouldn't all feel like we're trying to reason with an insane person, on top of already being frustrated.ย
Re: New Wrike Experience, I'm not sure why you shared with me an "added" functionality that has nothing to do with what I was talking about.ย Again, we want to be able to view our Dashboard of Tasks at the *same time* as having a static left-nav project list. This was a basic functionality of Old Wrike, so it's already been coded and the refusal to keep something so useful is bizarre.ย ย And my comment about expanding projects subfolders/subprojects was related to the fact that every time you click away from the project list (which I'm now forced to do every time I want to view my Task Dashboard), then when I click back to the project list it is *no longer expanded* and I have to click everything to re-expand the list again.ย

Hi Cansu- sure I'd love a call from our Wrike Representative.ย Will this be someone specific who is deeply familiar with the product?ย When I called in to try and come up with workarounds that would allow New Wrike to function for us, the person I spoke with had very limited working knowledge of Wrike.ย ย
I'm available M-Thursday from 9:30am PST to 6:30pm PST.
Thanks!
Hello Kelly Hagen, thanks for getting back to me, a Wrike Representative should contact you soon.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

You donโt need 60 upvotes from within the community to determine that a key feature, that benchmark competitors all have, is absent from the application. This issue needs to be escalated above the immediate team to the team that is doing product roadmapping.
We have an Enterprise account and have been using Wrike since 2013. The feature at issue in this thread is a significant one for our company. We use recurring tasks as meeting templates by team. The agenda within those templates is then manually created by section each week. There are several sections of the agenda that relate to the status of quarterly goals, projects, takeways from the last meeting, and takeaways captured in the current meeting; all of the aforementioned are or will be tasks elsewhere in Wrike. The inability to create tasks and/or easily copy tasks into the task detail body (Permalink pasting is extremely tedious) is a major problem.ย
The inability to embed filtered task views (from relevant folders) into other tasks (task details view) fails to acknowledge that different tasks are used for fundamentally different purposes. Some types of tasks are for getting things done, some represent a quarterly goal, some are for reference, and some act as a meeting agenda; the latter task type then needs to show a filtered view of relevant folders/tasks and their statuses. In other words, a meeting task type could be seen as a meta view of a filtered set of tasks.ย
This is a dealbreaker.ย
Hi Alex Brown (ENTJ), welcome to the Community. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback and insight into the matter.ย
First of all, I'm sorry to hear that lack of this functionality causes inconvenience for your team. Please rest assured that the feedback that we receive here in the Product Feedback forum is always passed on to the Product team. You can check out this article on what happens with Product Feedback after we receive it in more detail. The number of upvotes helps the team understand how popular a suggestion is among the Community members, as we have other feedback channels as well.ย
Some of the suggestions posted here in the forum get researched and implemented by the team (you can see the posts with the "Launched" status in the pinned section of the Product Feedback forum). Our team also regularly posts call-outs for Product interviews to discuss potential future functionality. I'd suggest checking out our Betas & More forum for more info and subscribing to it if it sounds interesting to you to never miss an opportunity to talk to the team directly.
Hope this gives you some insight into how we work with the feedback here. Please let me know if there's anything else that I can help you with!ย

Thank you Lisa - In addition to the upvotes, I'd suggest including the number of comments as way of understanding the user-demand/popularity of a feature that should be prioritised for Wrike.
Best
Of course, we're doing that too Matt Pavid ๐

Hello,
Here is yet another request for the ability to automatically create multiple Tasks or Sub-Tasks by copy/pasting multiple lines of text. Every week I'm having to manually do this for a meeting. It's tedious and time-consuming. I'm surprised that people have been asking for this for so long and that the feature hasn't been added, especially considering that some of your competitors have this feature, as people have already commented.
I haven't used other products like this. It was sheer frustration that made me finally say, "there must be a better way" and motivated me to search the help site for the solution. Obviously, I discovered you don't have a better way and I instead came across this thread. I bet there are many customers like me who are equally frustrated, have been using Wrike for a while (more than 1 year), but haven't yet realized that there could and should be a feature for this. I hope Wrike is taking things like that along with customer frustration levels into account when considering which features to add.
Antonia Martinez...abandon hope all ye who enter. I stopped trying to use Wrike for anything meaningful a couple years ago after it became apparent that Wrike has no intention of fixing this simple function. I first stumbled across this thread a couple of years ago...and it had already been around for awhile at that point...
Wow this is a real bummer to see this doesn't exist and that it hasn't for so long. New Wrike user here but we'll see how long that lasts, if concerns like this aren't being addressed over the course of years. +1 for sure
Hi everyone! I'm jumping in here to let you know that our Product team is currently researching this suggestion to see if they can work on it. I've changed the status here so that it reflects the team's current plans. I will share any updates we have in the future.ย
Huge thanks for all your support for this idea!ย
