Time spent by individual

Is there a way to see the total hours on a task by individual? Right now I can run reports that tell me the multiple people assigned and the total hours worked, but I cannot see it broken out by person ie. Bob worked 2 hours and Bill worked 3 of the hours. Is it possible to do this?

Hi Suzanne! It sounds like the Timelog View might be helpful for you, it shows your a breakdown of time tracked by person/task. To switch to the Timelog View:

  1. Select a Folder/Project from the left-hand Navigation panel.
  2. Click "Timelog".

From there, you can click the filters icon to adjust what data is displayed: the date range, assignees, and other criteria.

Here's a screenshot of what the view looks like:

Let me know if that could work or if you have any questions!

Hi Stephanie,

I'm not sure if I am having a similar issue - I have upgraded my subscription but I don't have an option to track time - which is what I was looking for.

Hi David, thanks for reaching out! Hope you don't mind if I jump in for Stephanie here. Time Tracking is available starting from the Business subscription plan, which is why this option isn't enabled right now. I've let your Account Manager know about the situation, and he'll reach out shortly to discuss this with you. Happy to answer any other questions!

Finally getting back to this :) Thanks for the help Stephanie. Is there a way to add Parent Folder as an option, similar to how I've filtered Report view items? I'd love to be able to see total time by employee by client. Right now we're getting too into the details by having it down to the individual sub-folder level and its a bit tedious to try to clean it up into meaningful data I can pivot. Is this possible in this view? Also I noticed it only reports time entered, meaning if someone used the time to capture time but did not "add entry" it is not reflected in reporting. Is there a way to easily identify where lost time might be sitting in a task?

Hi Suzanna, I'm sorry for the delayed reply here. Right now it's not possible to filter by Parent Folder on the Timelog View. I just want to confirm that you have multiple people tracking time on the same tasks, is that correct? If that's the case one workaround might be to have individuals track time on subtasks (one subtask per individual), that way you'd be able to use Reports to see how much time is being tracked and group the Report by Parent Folder.

You're right that tracked time only shows up in the time log after you've hit "Add entry". The system assumes that you're not ready to add tracked time until you do that. That said, each individual is able to see where time has not yet been entered. If there is "suspended" time for multiple tasks, you'll see a dropdown arrow, click that to see all of the tasks where you started tracking time, but haven't entered the time yet. You can then click on the individual tasks and add the entries.
