We’ve added three new options to our Change assignee automation action:
- Assign to Item Creator: it is now possible to automatically assign an item to its creator using this option. A common usage scenario could be when a request status changes to Review required, and the item creator needs to be automatically assigned.
- Assign to user who triggered the rule: Time-saving rule that auto-assigns an item to the person who makes a specific change to it, which triggers the rule. For example, the user who changes the status of the task to In progress will be assigned to it.
- Assign to users from a group: it is now possible to select a user group to assign the item to each person included in it. This option can serve as a workaround when needing to assign an item to the users of a group. Please note that the task will not be assigned individually to the group itself but to every user in that group. Also, currently, only groups with 25 individuals or less are eligible for the rule. For automation integrations, we have implemented the option to use variables in text fields, which include:
[item name],
[status],
[assignee],
[start date],
[due date],[author],
[last modified date].
These variables are functional in Slack, MS Teams, Gmail, and Outlook email automated integrations and allow you to reference items’ attributes in the messages created. For example, you can automatically send an Outlook email and reference the start date, assignee, or the item’s name by specifying this info in brackets [].
Additionally and in combination with this release, we’ve also added the automation action “Send Google Email”, which allows you to use your Gmail account to send automated emails. By taking advantage of the variables feature, the notifications can be more personalized and link to relevant data.
Lastly, AI suggestions in Automation, which were previously available in Wrike Labs, are now available to all accounts on Team and higher plans. Automation AI identifies opportunities for automation and proposes rules accordingly. These rule suggestions are available when creating a new rule under the "AI suggestions" tab.The suggestions include specific elements related to your space, such as folder names, statuses, and assignees, among others, and will help you save time and make your processes more efficient.
Available from Team and higher plans to account admins and space admins.
We added the ability to customize every external request form confirmation email individually. Previously, the custom message that was sent after a user submitted an external form would be identical for every request.
This new feature allows you to personalize and tailor your thank you emails according to the specific form that's been submitted, providing a more customized experience. The option to customize email confirmations is accessible in the request form settings dialog.
Please note that this setup works with external request forms only. You can discover more details about this feature in our dedicated Community post.
Available in Business and higher plans.
It is now possible to mass-enable project progress in Table view by clicking on the three-dot menu that appears when hovering over the Progress column and selecting the option Turn on for all projects:
Similarly, it is also possible to mass-disable progress for all projects.
Additionally, users viewing publicly shared table views - via public links - can request to join the Wrike account that created the link. This feature automatically notifies the account admins to approve the request. This is currently available for all accounts with public links and can be accessed in the Table view.
Available in Team and higher plans.
We’ve improved the option to share Gantt Chart snapshots with colleagues within and outside your Wrike account. We’ve renamed the button that allows you to create snapshots to Public snapshot.
Also, we’ve simplified the process of copying a snapshot after its creation. Once generated, you can copy the snapshot link by clicking on the option Copy public link which appears when hovering over the snapshot’s name.
Available for all users except for collaborators from Professional Plan and above.
Users can now share New Dashboards via public links. These links are time-boxed, and password-protected, with usage tracked and managed in the admin console. They're especially useful for sharing key insights, KPIs, and overviews with colleagues who don’t have a Wrike account yet.
Also, we’ve added the new Calendar widget, which serves as an alternative to the Gantt chart view for displaying project timelines or a project calendar plan.
Advantages of the Calendar widget:
-
Displays both projects and tasks, offering a comprehensive view of your timelines.
-
Offers the same level of customization as the Calendar view.
-
Showcases a project calendar plan in a visual layout.
To use the new widget, simply navigate to your dashboard and add the Calendar widget from the "Add/Remove widget" menu.
Available in Wrike Labs.
It is now possible to filter items in Table and Board views using natural language commands with AI Filtering. This feature is especially handy for accessing information, setting up filters, and locating items within projects/folders quickly, particularly for large items with a significant number of subitems.
This option can be enabled by the account owner in Wrike Labs. Feel free to read our dedicated Community post to learn all the details.
