Analytics View in Wrike

Table 179. Availability - Legacy plans

Overview

All users except collaborators can create an Analytics view in a folder, project, or space unless their access role restricts it. Once an Analytics view is created, all user types can access it and apply filters.

Important

Accounts already on Wrike Lightspeed may not have this particular view available. Instead, users in these accounts can leverage the more advanced and user-friendly Chart view.

Use Analytics view to gain insights into the task and task-based custom items in a given space, project, or folder. The Analytics view is available to help you understand the work in your spaces, projects, and folders. It provides task and task-based custom item data in easy-to-digest infographics. It features five charts, two of which are interactive, and filtering options.

Create an Analytics view

All users except collaborators can create an Analytics view in a folder, project, or space unless their access role restricts it.

To open any folder, project, or space in the Analytics view:

  1. Navigate to the selected folder, project, or space

  2. Click the + button on the panel above the tasks/folder list

  3. Select Create custom view

  4. In the window that appears, select Analytics from the view options. The view name is automatically updated to Analytics , but you can still rename it.

  5. Click Create

Once you have created an Analytics view, you can make it the default for the relevant space, folder, or project, copy permalinks to it, or hide it. Learn more here.

Charts in the Analytics view

The Analytics view contains five charts:

  • Active tasks: shows the total number of tasks and task-based custom items in an active status group in the space, folder, or project. Hover over this chart to see the number as a percentage.

  • Overdue tasks: shows the total number of tasks and task-based custom items that have passed their due date in the space, folder, or project. Hover over this chart to see the number as a percentage.

  • Completed tasks: shows the percentage of tasks and task-based custom items in a completed status group in the space, folder, or project. Hover over this chart to see the percentage as a number.

  • Tasks by assignee: displays a bar graph showing the number of tasks and task-based custom items assigned to each user in the relevant space, folder, or project. This graph also breaks down the assigned tasks and items by status, and you can click sections to apply filters to the view.

  • Tasks by status: displays a pie chart showing a visualization of the statuses of tasks and task-based custom items in the relevant space, folder, or project. It also displays the percentage of tasks and items in each status. You can click sections to apply filters to the view.

Filters in the Analytics view

All users can apply a default set of task and task-based item filters to charts in Analytics view and add custom fields as filters.

The Analytics view currently does not support saving a set of filter presets, and if you leave the view, all filters are reset. Filters selected by a user in the Analytics view are only seen by that user.

To apply a filter to the Analytics view:

  1. Navigate to the selected folder, project, or space and open it in the Analytics view

  2. Click on Filters in the panel above the view

  3. The filter panel opens to the right, where you can:

    • Select the relevant filters to apply to the view

    • Click + Custom field at the bottom of the panel to select a custom field to add as a filter to the view

    • Select Clear at the top of the panel to clear all filters (this option only appears when filters have been applied)

In addition, you can apply filters in the Analytics view by clicking on certain elements in the Tasks by Assignee and Tasks by status charts.

In Tasks by Assignee, clicking on a section of the bar chart for a particular user will filter the entire view for tasks and task-based custom items assigned to that user and in the relevant status that was clicked.

In Tasks by Status, clicking a section of the chart will filter the entire view for tasks and task-based custom items in that particular status.

If you apply filters in this way, you can clear them by opening the filter panel as described above and clicking Clear.
