What's New in Wrike - August 2023
This edition of What's New in Wrike brings you some exciting updates to the features that you already know and love. We cover updates for Automation, Blueprints, Wrike Lightspeed, and more!
Available on all accounts with Wrike Lightspeed enabled.
Now Search and the user's profile picture can be found in the new Sidebar.
If you have a lot in your Sidebar and you scroll down you will still see Search, Inbox, and profile picture so that they are always accessible.
Available on Team, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
We've added the Predecessors column to the Table view.
Available on all accounts.
Before: When users searched for other account users if they clicked on a name in the quick search results, a new page would open with all found users.
Now: A user's card is shown in the quick search panel instead of a new page opening.
Available on all accounts.
We've deleted the indicator showing that the comment on an item was sent from a mobile app.
Available on Team, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
The new Change custom field action allows you to change the value of a custom field when the rule is triggered. This action works with checkbox-type, text-type, currency, number, percent, single-select, and multiple-select fields.
We've also added a bunch of new triggers: Due date changed, Start date changed, Duration changed, Importance changed, Title changed, Description changed.
And a small wording update: the trigger formerly known as "The date in the field meets a condition" is now called "Date is approaching or overdue."
Available on Team, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
Now users can add color-coding to single- and multiple-select custom fields. Simply start creating a new custom field (or edit the existing one), enable the Colors toggle and you will see colors selection next to the option name.
This functionality is currently available (and visible) only if you have the New Table view, New Board view, Item view, or Wrike Lightspeed enabled.
Available on Team, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
Before: Users had to go to the form and click a button in the error message to update a question in forms in case there have been changes made to custom fields.
Now: The information is updated automatically in the following cases:
-
There are no actions tied to custom field options in forms
-
Name changes/renaming of custom fields (applies to all types of custom fields, like text, number, single/multi-select, etc.)
-
Change of the order of custom fields options in single/multi-select questions
-
Adding new custom field options
Available on Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
Now users can save any existing items as a space blueprint to easily use as a template for future tasks. Works as usual: open the context menu, select Save as blueprint, and then you'll see the option to save the item as space or account blueprint.
Additionally, if you want to convert an existing account-level blueprint to a space-level blueprint, you can first create a work item from the account-level blueprint and then save it as a space blueprint.
Available on Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Pinnacle accounts.
We've made a small improvement to the item card on the Workload. We've added an icon next to the task/item name by clicking on which the item view opens (before you had to click on the item's name).
