[Community Member Spotlight] Meredith Selden ๐
Hi everyone!
ย
We are so excited to be back with another Community Member Spotlight, this time featuring our newest Black Belt Community member Meredith Selden. You might have seen Meredith's name pop up around the Community helping other members with her tips, and sharing best practices and feedback. This year, she was granted our Black Belt Community badge, congratulations Meredith!ย ย
ย
Tell us a little about your role and industry.
Iโm a Marketing Project Manager turned Wrike Expert, helping Marketing teams (and beyond) leverage Wrike to solve all their needs and elevate their work.ย Iโm essentially the Product Manager for Wrike in my organization helping with configuration, implementation, adoption, and innovating new ways to drive value from Wrike.ย Health Care Services Corporation (which administers Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance in 5 states) is the third organization Iโve worked with using Wrike and I started using the product in 2015.
Why do you/your team use Wrike?
ย
To bring organization to chaos โ our division, as of June, is on track to double the number of work requests this year:
ย
What were you doing before Wrike?
You name it we were using it โ Email, Jabber, MS Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Basecamp โ and now itโs all in one location!
What is the top thing that makes you productive?
Blueprints!ย We have all our processes programmed as Blueprints, most of which are connected to request forms so that we can automate and standardize project creation.
What process/setup that you do in Wrike are you most proud of?ย

ย
We initially introduced Wrike in a team-by-team approach which resulted in a slew of request forms โ one (or more) for each team.ย We recently consolidated all request forms into one, for our division, (with a page 1 drop-down menu of โhow can we help you?โ) so that requestors have one link for all their needs.ย It may be a 30-page form on the back-end but itโs helped to streamline requests through one link that we all have in our email signature.
If someone was thinking about using Wrike what would you say?
ย
Yessss!ย Itโs so customizable it can literally do anything youโre wanting to achieve, and the support team is unmatched โ the Customer Success Managers, Account Managers and Help Desk teams are so responsive and insightful I canโt imagine using another tool.
What value do you get out of the Community?
Iโve learned so much from this community โ from tips and tricks to new Wrike Analyze formulas I could not have accomplished it without them.
Fun question: If you had to be a Wrike feature which would you be and why? (Ex. @mentions, Gantt Chart, search, etc).
ย
I would be a Wrike Analyze Board โ because it takes data to a whole new level allowing us to visualize and report on projects in ways we never could accomplish before.ย Specifically, I would be a line chart showing Year-over-Year trend data (thanks to Herine, Wrikeโs Analyze SME!)

Congratulations Meredith!!ย I love how you mention consolidating the request form into one!!ย That is something I definitely strive to do, to ensure teams aren't confused about which form to use!!! Amazing job!
Iโm also a Project Manager/Wrike Expert for our team. I am the project manager for all of our creative content working closely with the marketing team. We implemented Wrike 3 years ago and I have become the product expert for Creative Services and our other units in University Communications and Marketing, helping people onboard, get organized, understand the tool and find the features to help them work more efficiently.
Great interview, Meredith! We were using Axosoft/OnTime before we moved over to Wrike, and a whole host of other broken items...similar to you guys! :)
Why does our team use Wrike? To cut down on emails and stay organized in the most efficient way possible!
Welcome to Black Belt team Meredith! We love request form combined with Blueprints for project creation! This has saved us so much time!

Thanks for sharing!
We have been using Wrike for 4 years. Blueprints are starting to become our standard to help us plan and organize our ongoing projects and our future projects.
Congratulations Meredith! Consolidated request forms is a good idea! Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations Meredith!
What were you doing before Wrike? Our team used several different SharePoint lists (old SharePoint, not the nice new version in 365) so we couldn't tie any of our processes together!ย
Congrats Meredith!ย ๐
I'm impressed with the request forms consolidation. I would be interested to know how you did it!
ย
Congrats Meredith!
Taking your consolidation of request forms into one as evidence that it can be done!ย ๐ฌ
Congratulations on the Black Belt and spotlight, Meredith Selden! Well deserved for such a knowledgeable and helpful pro.
