[Weekly Conversations] How do You Use Wrike Mobile Apps? ๐Ÿ“ฑ

Hi there ๐Ÿค—

We donโ€™t discuss Wrikeโ€™s mobile apps often enough here on the Community. They come in very handy, especially when you need to check something or provide an update on the go.

Personally, I use the Android app. Some of the examples of what I do within the app are:

  • Checking my Inbox on the way to the office, replying to questions if needs be.
  • Creating new tasks or adding notes to existing ones (when I have an idea and I donโ€™t want to forget it ๐Ÿ˜…).
  • Assigning tasks to myself and to team members.

Are you using Wrikeโ€™s mobile apps (Android app or iOS app)? If you do, please share some examples below ๐Ÿ‘‡

I use Android app. It helps a lot when I am travelling and I don't have my laptop with me.

I use the iOS app if I need to quickly check out something just sent to me or an easy response. I have some troubles using the app, so I do not use it very much.

I work on a laptop rather than a desktop so I'm already mobile and prefer to use that rather than my phone. On the rare occasion that I do use the mobile app, it is iOS.

I don't use it. I work on my desktop :)ย

I use Wrike's iOS mobile app quite often for changing task status and editing task details. I have found that checkboxes in the description area of a task are hard to work with, but it's not enough to prevent me from using them. My company heavily utilizes the mobile app on our manufacturing and production floor for time entry, working with tasks, submitting safety observations, and other general items. I would say that we have a majority of users on mobile because of this.

The mobile app for both platforms is great, but one frustration I have is that the feature set is not the same on both. For instance, the "play" button to record time on a task is present in Andriod, but not on iOS.

While my primary work gets done in the desktop app - I use the iOS app to stay on top of notifications when I am away from my laptop.ย  Occasionally I will deep dive into a task to check on something - but for me, it's most useful for real-time notifications.

I open the iOS Wrike in Dashboard view for my one-on-ones with my director...

I like Wrike being integrated in MS Teams though! I use iOS on Teams and can see Wrike notifications there.

Everything else is typically done on desktop.

I work remote, I have a laptop connected to an extra monitor, so most work is done in Wrike at the home office. There are times I am away doing errands or whatnot. If I get a ping in my Wrike inbox and assess it as critical, I respond from my iPhone.

No, I'm not using the mobile apps. Keep work (desktop) and private stuff (mobile) seperated.

I use the android app for making "emergency" after-hour updates to tasks. Many times I check the notification on the mobile app, then log into a computer somewhere as things are much easier to update and change on a computer.ย

I mainly use Wrike with my laptop, but I do use my iPhone once in a while to check status and notifications.

I typically use my computer but if I am on vacation, I will pull up the app on my iPhone and check tasks just to ensure nothing is being dropped.

I have the app, but don't use it much as I work from the office. I am trying to keep away from work on my phone. Although, I do see it being beneficial for adding a to do task in my personal space if I am away from my desk and don't want to forget it.

I use it for small and quick things, like a short answer in a task or an approval (if it is simple). As the screen is small no real option for bigger work. But a good extension to the computer version.
