[Duplicate] Assigning Groups to Tasks

We have a couple franchise owners that would like to be able to assign tasks to a role rather than an individual. We have set up Groups so that the specific team can be @tagged, but it would be nice if you could assign tasks to those groups instead of multiple individuals. That way if you have a split employment where one employee works 3 days and a different employee works 4 days, the tasks that go over the set days will still be taken care of.
Hi Keli, currently assigned is set to individuals. This was purpose built as it's easier to decide who is responsible for actions on a task - sometimes with a group assigned no-one knows where/who starts the item.
But you're not alone in wanting this feature. David requested this and your vote would be great over there too so we can keep feedback in one place. I'll redirect other members who find this post there too 👍
Also, agree on this. We are in the same situation of wanting the ability to assign Tasks to an entire group.
I also plus +1 this request. It would be great to have the option.
hello, completely agree, it would be great to have the opportunity to assign tasks to a group, and make them able to assign it to an individual autonomously in a second moment
I agree, my business needs to assign tasks/deadlines to a group frequently
