  • Wrike's Help Center and the New Wrike Experience โœ…
Weโ€™ve updated our main Help Center to contain help articles related to the New Wrike Experience. If you're using the Classic Wrike Experience, you can now visit our new Classic Wrike Experience Help Center to access help articles related to it.
ย
Please find more information on this in this Community post.

ย

Feature Updates

  • Task View - Create Subtasks Out of Blueprints ๐Ÿ’™
Now, subtasks can be created from Blueprints in the Task view. This works in the same way as creating subtasks from Blueprints in the Table and List views.
ย
  • Side Panel Menus - Scroll Bars Now Wider
After feedback from our users, we decided to make scroll bars wider in the side panel menus in the New Wrike Experience. Thank you for your feedback, Community! ๐Ÿ’š
You can now access the proof.new domain to add files to Wrike. When you upload a file via proof.new a new task is created in your Personal space with the attached file(s).
Please note that the mobile version is not yet available. Also, the right to attach files should be enabled for the account in order for the domain to work.
  • Custom Fields - New Options from Account Management ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ
Custom fields can now be added to or removed from particular spaces, folders, and projects from within account management. Before this could only be done in the relevant workspace.
This applies to owners and account admins, they just need to click a custom field and use the option to Add to or Remove from.
ย
We've created a new domain to help with quickly creating a new request. Use wrike.new to access a list of all the request forms available to you.
Please note that this isn't supported on mobile apps currently.
You now can ask Google Assistant to create a new task or go to a specific part of the app without touching your device!
We've also made the comment box wider so it's easier to read what you're writing.
A couple of fixes:
1) When rotating a tablet into landscape mode, the task list would disappear. Fixed now.
2) Also, when changing from one workflow to another, the Board view didn't show the new workflow. It does now.

ย

Fixes

  • Mass Select Icons Turned Dark
When some of you tried to mass select tasks in the List view the checkboxes background turned dark. Now all is back to normal ๐Ÿ‘
  • Custom Fields - Last Filled and Times Filled are Back to Normal
Weโ€™ve fixed the issue with theย Last filledย on andย Times Filledย columns being empty - they're working now โš™๏ธ

Centralised custom field folder control? Whhhhhhhooooppppp!!!!!
ย
Quick question, which I think I know the answer to, does it only show you folders that you're shared into?
ย
And, if yes, a second quick question, if you try to delete a custom field will it tell you that it's in a folder (but you that you're not shared into it)?

Thanks for reaching out George Fiveashย ๐Ÿ˜ Happy to see you happy!ย

You're correct, it's only the folders that are shared with you. There will be a message saying that the custom field will be deleted everywhere it's used when you try to delete a field.ย

Thanks for getting back to me Lisaย ๐Ÿ˜„
That's good to know, I'm thinking specifically of two scenarios.

1. Custom field is being used in a folder you can't see. You get that message (and is it a message or a warning?), so you ask around to find out where it's being used and if it can be deleted.

2. Custom field is not being used anywhere and you try to delete it. Do you get the same message/warning as if there was a folder?

Basically I'm asking, how can you tell the difference between these two scenarios?

Hi George Fiveash,

I'm afraid that you will see the same warning message when deleting a custom field regardless of whether the custom field is being used in folders/projects that are not shared with you, or if the custom field is not being used in any folders/projects. The message looks like this:

However, theย custom field management sectionย contains information on who created the custom field and who last edited the custom field's properties, even for custom fields that are not shared with you and for custom fields being used in folders/projects that are not shared with you. So this can help you track down the person who may be using the custom field before you decide to delete it.โ€‹ย ๐Ÿ˜Š

Please let us know if you have further questions, and have a productive day!

Thank you for the clarification Aaron K.ย ๐Ÿ˜

"information on who created the custom field and who last edited the custom field's properties"

While this is true, it's less efficient that just being told that the Custom Field is in use, and now to play my trump card - Wrike's all for efficiencyย ๐Ÿ˜‰. That said, I believe the current sharing logic would make this quite hard to implement, so I won't bother to raise a feature request.

Thanks again for the information Aaron K.ย and Lisa, helpful as always ๐Ÿ˜ƒ!
