What is your best or favourite use of automation?
AngesagtHopefully I've stuck this in the best location on the community. I haven't really found a similar topic.
I've just recently become the sole admin of our account, and I was sitting here thinking about how I can take our use of Wrike to the next level.
I thought it might be cool to canvas the community to get their best uses of automation to improve how Wrike is used within the business.
For example, my two favourite automation rules I've got working at the moment are:
- rules to automatically remind approvers and clients of a needed action;
- rules to automatically move tasks and projects to a pseudo-archive folder for posterity.
So, Community, what's your favourite use of Automation??
For me the main thing is the reminder of overdue tasks or not started tasks. Automation is sending out messages if a task is overdue, 5 days overdue and 10 days overdue. Also if a task has reached its start date but is not set to "in work".
These are littlke reminders for all users. From time to time you are getting reply that automation is spamming because of so much messages. That is always a good reason to discuss with the colleague why these messages are sent and why he gets so many.
In the few months we've been working in Wrike, I agree with Sven. The automated reminders to start work or that they're overdue are key. That saves me a bunch of time following up with people to keep working on their projects.
Archiving projects/tasks is also helpful (moving from 1 space to another after a year). Also a big time-saver.
