[Status: (Now in Wrike Labs) Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ] Feature Request: Project & Task Status Settings (Drafts, Published, Archive)
Please add a feature to a task or a project to mark them as a Draft, as Published or as Archived. ย This would allow for entire workflows to be built, reviewed and adjusted without sending notifications or appearing as active tasks until they are PUBLISHED. ย
This would also apply to template projects in DRAFT status. ย Templates can maintain assignments to people or groups without appearing as ON HOLD since they would still be in DRAFT stage. ย
Lastly, this could apply to new requests as well since they are not active projects until they are PUBLISHED by the operations or management personnel.
Hi Tim, this is definitely an interesting idea! I wanted to share a post with an existing request which sounds similar to the "Draft" stage you mention:ย Allow "Planning"/"Template" Mode to Separate Active/On-Hold Projects from Projects Being Planned/Templates. Would be great to see your comment there. :)
As for archiving Projects, here are some posts and articles with tips on handling completed items with the current functionality, I hope they'll help in the meantime:ย
I think it would be a "nice to have" feature if we could right click on a project/folder and choose which archive folder to move it to instead of dragging the project/folder down to the associated archive folder. ย We have several archive folders, and I have to open all of the folders within the archive first to the place I need to move the project to before I can drag the project to the archive.
Hi Angela, thanks for your post and I can definitely see why this options would be helpful. Alfred has mentioned this in his postsย move/undo button. It would be great if you could vote for his post and I'll change this to a duplicate to keep all feedback in the one place. Feel free to comment there too to help our Product Team understand different use cases for this. Thanks again for sharing!
Agree this would be a great feature!
